Each new holiday that approaches presents an opportunity to get creative and update traditions. With Halloween approaching it’s time to figure out how can we do a socially distanced Halloween?

Carve your pumpkins and get your costumes ready for the big day. But then what can you do to make an extra fun Halloween? For Central Florida parents there are decisions to make and if you’re looking to hang at home or host a few friends for a socially distanced Halloween we’ve got some ideas to make it a super fun day!

We’ve got several great activities for your perfect socially distanced Halloween in Central Florida.

Candy Slide

Create a socially distant skeleton candy slide to distribute candy to the kiddos. This is so creative! We love it!

Fear Factor Sensory Game

Fill empty tissue (or other boxes/jars) with every day items for a spooky experience. Cold spaghetti becomes witch hair, shaving cream can be monster boogers. To keep it safe you can have kids wear gloves or provide one box per child and have them work as a team to describe the boxes to each other and everyone guess what’s inside.

Halloween Candy Gloves

Send each little monster home with an extra fun goody bag full of candy.

Scavenger Hunt

Download this printable and send your kiddos through the house for a Halloween themed scavenger hunt.  (Click the picture above to download the hunt)

Tie Dye

If you’re a long-time Momlando reader, you know we always think tie-dye is a good idea. Follow along this tutorial for a pumpkin themed result.

Toilet Paper Mummies

Give each family two rolls of toilet paper and see who can make a mummy the fastest. Add in a marker or two and let everyone draw mummy faces on your tp mummy heads.

Zombie Eye Ball Toss

Attach plastic cups to a large piece of cardboard. Use sharpie markers or paint on zombie eyeballs to ping pong balls. Give prizes for the most balls sunk in the cups!
