Where to go to put the littles to work!
Looking for a family activity that doesn’t cost very much and teaches kids about where food grows? Spend a morning at a U Pick Farm in Central Florida. Blueberry season generally opens around April and lasts a couple months. Strawberries have a very brief season happening now through April, so don’t miss them!

- If you have a long drive, or aren’t’ returning home right away, bring a cooler to keep the fruit fresh in your car.
Pro Tip:
- Those baskets fill up fast. You’ll be shocked when you go to weigh in how much you’ve picked! When you get home, portion out your fruit into small baggies and freeze them. They last for a long time and will be great for smoothies and other recipes.
