Looking to spend some time outdoors with the kids? Local farmers markets all over Central Florida provide the perfect opportunity. Farmers Markets in Orlando are filled with local makers selling their wares which kids are eager to explore. Plus you can grab some local produce and food items.

Want to make it an adventure? Plan dinner using only items you find at the market. Or grab a new vegetable you’ve never tried for a taste testing when you get home. Here are some of our favorite markets in Orlando that will get your adventure started:

SATURDAY MARKETS

Lake Mary Farmers Market  140 E. Wilbur Avenue * Weekly from 9am-1:30pm

Go enjoy some fresh produce, plants, woodcrafts, pet treats and so much more! Enjoy the shops and local restaurants that are within the park too.

Lake Nona Farmers Market 12350 Narcoossee Road * Weekly from 9am-1pm

This farmers market is held in the parking lot of Valencia’s East Campus. It has produce, honey, candles, artisan make-up and occasional events for children.  The market benefits the Back to Nature Wildlife Reguge! NOTE: This market is not pet friendly (due to the location).

Oviedo Farmers Market 200 West Broadway (Highway 426) * First Saturday of the month 8am-1pm

Occurring once a month, get fresh coffee, spices, produce, herbs, baked goods and more. They also have displays from local artists.

Winter Garden Downtown Farmers Market 104 South Lakeview Avenue * Weekly from 9am- 2pm

This one’s a biggie!  Enjoy live music every Saturday from 10 -2pm. It offers fresh produce, plants and flowers, baked goods, herbs, crafts, food and drinks! The splash pad is on the outskirt of the market, so plan accordingly if your kiddos will enjoy it.

Winter Park Farmers Market  200 West New England Avenue * Weekly from 7am- 1pm

Go early and with an empty stomach because they serve a full breakfast. The bagels are delicious and the spreads are fresh! They have a coffee station and amazing kettle corn. Once you’re full walk around and check out the plants, produce, honey and baked goods.

SUNDAY MARKETS

Longwood Farmers Market330 N. Ronald Reagan Blvd. * Weekly from 9am-3pm

This farmers market offers fresh seafood courtesy of TJE seafood! They also have fresh bread, produce and hand crafted items like purses and jewelry.

Maitland Farmers Market 701 Lake Lily Drive * Weekly from 9am-2pm

Maitland’s Farmers Market has so many things to enjoy like live music, food, produce, hand crafted candles and soaps, fresh coffee and more! The farmers market surrounds the beautiful Lake Lily and has an excellent playground for the kids, so plan for a beautiful full morning when heading to this farmers market.

Orlando Farmers Market Lake Eola park (Corner of E. Central Boulevard & N. Eola Drive) * Weekly from 10am- 4pm

This is Orlando’s biggest farmers market. It has produce, food, hand-crafted beauty products, and more. It is pet friendly and has a beer and wine garden that opens at noon along with live music. It is a busy but fun market to stroll through. The earlier you arrive the better, you might even be able to sneak into the $5 Yoga at Lake Eola Park that happens right next to the market at 11 am.

WEEKDAY MARKET

Audobon Park Community Market 1842 East Winter Park Road (The parking lot of Stardust Coffee) * Mondays 5-9pm

This market is community based and focuses on sustainable and local offerings. They offer a number of locally grown and sourced items like eggs, cheese, dips, dressings, yogurt, bread, jellies and more. Come out and try some of Orlando’s local goods while building community and supporting the people in it!
