Living in Central Florida gives us plenty of opportunity to play tourist. And if you have driven on I-4 with your kids in the car lately, you are sure to hear your kids scream out about the “big ferris wheel.” The Orlando Eye is one of those landmarks that our kids love to point out and ask questions about. A couple weeks ago we ended up nearby and decided to go check it out! Little did the kids know, I-Drive 360 offers more than just an awesome Ferris Wheel; there is so much to do. If you’re ready to play tourist for the day, have a staycation in Central Florida, or impress out-of-town guests then you need to check it out.
I-Drive 360 is a large complex with restaurants and bars to go along with the attractions. Even better, there is a big lawn for the kids to run around on. By the way, Did I mention there is a ton of free parking?!?! Go to the top of the parking garage for a great photo opportunity with the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye in the background.
We started out at Madame Tussauds, where I have to admit, I was very curious to see how our 3-year-old would respond to the lifelike statues. She loved it! She immediately starting to pose exactly like the statues were posed, then started acting out the scenes, singing when she was on stage with the Biebs or Selena. There were many historical figures, athletes, and pop culture celebrities. She had no idea who they were, but we did and loved explaining them to her. Many of the exhibits had an interactive activity or dress-up portion alongside them. Dress up is huge in our house so we spent a lot of time at each exhibit.
I’m so glad we got there in time to see the Selena exhibit. I loved listening to her music as a pre-teen and it was a blast to dance around with my sweet girl to her tunes. We of course got in some poses with her.
Next, we moved on to SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium, a new wave of underwater adventures with diverse species from the oceans of the world! Our little ones really liked see all the fish and collecting the stamps at each station on a scavenger hunt. The aquarium was so much bigger than I thought it would be and extremely interactive. We walked through the underwater tunnels and stuck our heads up in bubbles to get up close with the marine life. It was great to see sharks and all sorts of sea life with a bit of plexiglass between us.
The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye is a fabulous centerpiece to the complex. The ride is smooth and there’s plenty of room in each compartment for the kids to move around or in our case, dance around. The music pumps through for the whole ride and there’s great a/c too. We had a fantastic time and the ride felt long enough for the price without getting too long where we overstayed past the thrill of it. After our explorations we took a short lunch break at one of the delicious restaurants in the complex. Our daughter loved looking at the Eye all through lunch and trying to catch it moving.

I saw another mom post about their Eye experience and felt it was very worthy to pass along to Momlando readers! Plan for a meal time Eye ride (lunch or dinner) – helps to keep the kiddos entertained on the ride. And they are in one spot to help make for an “easy-ir” meal time for the parents.
