Momlando’s countdown to Christmas Holiday Bracket is back for 2019 with not one but two different bracket options to complete! Why do we need two different brackets you ask? First, we have our Hallmark Countdown to Christmas bracket, just like last year. But in case that isn’t enough for you, we added some of the other channels to create an ULTIMATE challenge bracket. In total, there are 68 all new holiday movies to watch this year. Let’s break it down.
Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas has been the favorite in our house. They have the magic and put together a killer schedule every year. In fact, this is the tenth anniversary of their Countdown to Christmas celebration- so you know they are going to go all-out with 24 new movies starting on October 26th!
Hallmark Movies and Mysteries is magically turning in to Hallmark’s Miracles of Christmas for the Holiday season with 16 all new holiday movies. I love the seasonal rebrand and the lineup looks like it has some really good movies, starting on October 25th!
Finally, we can’t forget Lifetime Channel who is bringing it this year with 28 all new original holiday movies. Not to be outdone, Lifetime has special branding for their series of movies as well. Their It’s a Wonderful Lifetime starts October 25th.
Here is what you need to know about our brackets:
- Download Momlando’s Countdown to Christmas Holiday Bracket. Pick your winners from the 24 all new movies starting on October 26. Just zoom in, click on the blue field for that showdown, and then enter your winner. The bracket goes in order of premier date and awards three different winners for the early, middle, and late round groups of movies. Then, from the three different rounds, pick your favorite for the year!
- I have to say, I am super excited for two specific movies. My favorite from the 2017 season, A Gift to Remember is back with a sequel, A Gift to Remember 2: Cherished Memories. The other one is also a sequel, actual it is a third in the series. We are headed back to the Kris Kringle Kitchen with the magical red truck in Christmas in Evergreen: Tidings of Joy.
- So you like Christmas movies? Try the Momlando ULTIMATE Holiday Movie Bracket. This bracket includes all the Countdown to Christmas, Miracles of Christmas, and It’s a Wonderful Lifetime holiday movies – 68 total movies filled with holiday cheer. Get your snacks and clear your calendar. We are using the premier dates as initial seating, meaning movies that share a premier date go up against each other in the first round. A couple times this year three movies will go up against each other! Movies premiering without competition automatically are seated in the second round. One movie I am super excited about watching on Lifetime is Christmas Love Letter. It was filmed in Helen, GA, where we went on vacation last year. It is always extra special to see a little Christmas town you visited in these movies! Overall, I am looking forward to seeing how the different channels’ movies fare against each other. Will one network have the most winners? Who will have the best movie? Will we even be able to watch all of these?!?
