Football season has started, that means there will be Sunday evenings where I will need to devote some attention to the game- it doesn’t help that my team is on the west coast and the games are usually later in the day.  How do I watch my team if I’m cooking or watching the kids before, during, or after dinner?

Last year was a little rough with two little ones; there were hectic scrambles to find the game, or to watch it without the kids yelling for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  I got my strategy worked out over the summer during golf season. Sometimes golf isn’t that great and I don’t need to watch.  But sometimes, things really shape up for a great duel during the final round on Sunday.  (Big thanks to Tiger for showing up for a couple tournaments!)

I’ve created this go-to list for places to take the kids during football.  These are places where I feel that we can go, where it won’t be too busy with overly raucous or intoxicated fans, good food, and viable children’s seating/food options.  Let me know if I missed any good spots – we are always looking for new places.  Maybe we will see you there this season – Go Hawks!

Do yourself a favor: If you take the fam to The Porch to watch part of the game, get the kids chicken fingers meal for your little ones.  This is one of the best kids meals around.
