If you’re not actively dreaming about a few hours alone…than you’re probably not an overwhelmed mama like me. To which I say, good for you!

Sometimes I’m just itching to get out of my house and have some real time away. But when I get the chance, I have no idea what I should even do! Never fear, in our new series ‘What’s a Mom to Do’ we’ll give you ideas and inspiration all over town for a great break. Invite a friend or fly solo! Pick and choose from our ideas to plan your perfect time away.

Momlando Motivational Rant: My biggest wish for all of us mamas is that we do not live our lives on autopilot. I want you to be actively engaged and making choices for how your day goes. Take time for you and spend a few minutes making a plan for how you want to spend your day. Life is happening for you and with you. Don’t let it just happen to you.

Mama, if you need a break, you need to head to Mills50. It’s a gold mine of good eats and street art. This is a place you want to be hungry. No matter where you eat, it will be amazing. Take a walk and pop into the little shops, explore the street art, and have a blast.

Eating is a must on Mills50.

There are just too many good places. We suggest a bit of a food crawl with the caveat that pacing yourself is incredibly difficult when you want to eat everything on the menu at every stop. For your Mills50 food crawl we suggest: King Bao, Black Rooster Taquieria, Tako Cheena, and Pig Floyd’s. And you must grab a beverage at RoyalTea. It’s right next to King Bao, so no excuses. If you’re vegan, head to the District at Mills50 they’ve got you covered!
