It’s full of ways to make a difference in your community, show others you care, and get that warm fuzzy feeling in your heart that only do-gooding provides.
Support Local Artists
- Go to a gallery like Cornell Fine Arts Museum, Snap!, or Loud Gallery
- Join Club Fringe and support the longest running Fringe festival in the country!
- See a local theater production at one of our amazing local venues
Become a Member
- Show financial support and visit all year long! It’s win-win. Join: Leu Gardens, Orlando Science Center, Art & History Museums Maitland, or the Orlando Museum of Art
Send food
- Many nonprofit employees work extra long hours during the holidays. Call them up and see if you can send over a few pizzas – People love lunch
- Bake cookies and drop them off at your local fire or police station
- Bring a basket of snacks to the emergency room near you
Cook & Serve Meals
- At the Ronald McDonald House
- At the Orlando Union Rescue Mission
- Deliver and serve meals through Seniors First (Meals on Wheels)
Donate Blood
Make Something
- Blankets for Project Linus
- Bags for homeless OR purchase Miles to Go Bags
- Or host your own Family Service Project using our guide
Pay it Forward
- When you’re in the drive thru pay for the people behind you
- Pay off Layaway at your local Sears or Walmart
- Call up your local public school and pay off cafeteria lunch fee overages
Give your Time
- Go to a nursing home and help with activities. Read books to those who can’t leave their beds. Give the gift of time and attention.
Giving is top of our minds around this time of year, but we can make this a priority all year long. Choose what speaks to you and see how you can put it into practice long after we’re done rockin’ the holidays.
